El Segundo is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is located on Santa Monica Bay.  While the city of El Segundo is a small town, it is a significant center for innovation. Another Inventor from El Segundo is named in a patent that covers a method for anchoring mobile subscribers and reducing forwarding state for wireless communication systems. The patent is issued to Juniper Networks, and the co-inventors are Srinivasa Chaganti, a computer programmer from San Ramon, Calif.; Madhu Sudan of Union City; and Sanjeev Hemantkumar Desai, of San Jose, Calif.; and Raman S. Krishnan of Cupertino, Calif.

Local companies have also received patents for their inventions. For example, Phase Four, Inc. a local company in El Segundo filed for a patent on Oct. 19, 2018, and its application was approved on Jan. 25, 2019.
